From a young age, Michaela has been composing music and writing lyrics, attracting significant independent success in Canada and more recently in her native Scotland. Since 1997, Michaela has performed in a host of high profile music venues in and around Ottawa, Toronto, Scotland and New York City. Michaela’s intimate performances have sold out shows in Ottawa, both at The National Arts Center and Barrymore's, and in venues in Glasgow, most recently the west end arts venue Oran Mor. Over the years, she has also supported various artists, from Jesse Cook to the Sensational Alex Harvey Band, and has also written lyrics with fellow musicians, as well as composing for film and television FILM AND TV Michaela's music has featured on the television show Dawson's Creek Alliance/Atlantis picked up her composition, Naked In The Water, for the television movie The Mathew Shepard Story in 2002 Michaela's music featured in the independent movies, Beautiful Horizons and Embalming Love. Michaela has also arranged the music for a short documentary, Halo of Hope, which won Telefest last year.
