Log Line:

A young woman is seduced by a man in exchange for achieving her dream to master the piano but she gets crippled by guilt over his death when she falls in love with his mistress.

Synopsis:

To Anna, music has always felt like flying. While her girlfriend plays the flute Anna’s hair blows in the wind as she closes her eyes and whirls precariously close to a cliff. If you were to ask Anna, she would say she is flying. But when Anna’s father catches her, he does not ask. He slaps her and drags her home. Anna, is crushed when her father refuses to let her continue to study piano. She begs George, her instructor, to make her father change his mind. George, infatuated by her passion and youth, chooses to fulfill his promise by asking Anna’s father for her hand in marriage.

Anna’s initial fury at George changes when he seduces her with a promise to mentor her and take her to Paris in exchange for her physical love.

The bargain holds while Anna’s skill grows, but when she takes over for George at The Hall in Paris, she is plagued by her bargain as her passion for George grows cold. George then contrives to spark Anna’s jealousy by having her catch him in bed with his lover, Marie. However, Anna surprises them both by turning the encounter into a ménage a trois; so begins Anna’s affair with her husband’s mistress.

When George dies suddenly, Anna is disabled by guilt. She discovers she can no longer play. That is, until she becomes mentor to a young, wealthy male suitor, Alain, and says goodbye to Marie.

In time, the ambitious Alain tries to domineer Anna. One day, Marie, now a success in her own right, rediscovers her old lover. Then she becomes determined to rescue Annafrom her abusive relationship by implementing a plot...

A plot that will risk the freedom of one woman, and risk the life of the other.
