James Tumminia, 2019 Emmy-nominated producer of LOVE, GILDA (released by Magnolia Pictures and CNN Films), the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival opening-night documentary on the late Saturday Night Live star Gilda Radner.

James is the co-founder of Italus Films, a joint venture between the U.S. and Italy for worldwide content.

Producing credits, include: 2018’s ALL SHE WROTE, starring Gary Dourdan (CSI) from Bulgarian writer/director Niki Iliev; the award-winning VIOLET, directed and written by Spain's Luiso Berdejo and starring Carlos Bardem; SOMEBODY’S MOTHER, directed by Gabriela Tollman; 1ST STRIKE, the festival award-winning Latino drama starring Danny Trejo and directed by David Llauger Meiselman; and the family drama THREE DAYS IN AUGUST, directed by Johnathan Brownlee and starring Barry Bostwick.

For television, Tumminia has produced countless hours of programming for major broadcast and cable networks, including the event specials Gilda Radner’s Greatest Moments (ABC), Abbott & Costello Meet Jerry Seinfeld (NBC) and Bob Hope’s last special. He was head of production at GPA Entertainment and has consulted at Disney+, ABC Studios, Disney Channel, Hodder TV and on Michael Moore’s Broadway debut. A producer of digital content and numerous short films, Tumminia produced the pilot and web series, Vendetta, making his directorial debut in the award-winning My Christmas Wish, which also received 5 Angel Awards at the Monaco International Film Festival; his acting credits include, Criminal Minds, Resident Evil, Angels & Demons, Melissa & Joey and The Shield. Tumminia was an organizing member of Mt. Tremblant International Film Festival in Canada and recently served as a juror at the Red Nation International Film Festival.

Tumminia is currently executive-producing VIVA VERDI! directed by Yvonne Russo. A long-standing member of the Producers Guild of America, Tumminia currently serves as a Chairperson of the Guild’s Documentary and Non-Fiction Committee, and is a member of the Guild’s International Committee; he is also a long-term member of the Television Academy and of SAG-AFTRA.
