STORY OUTLINE: The film tells the dream of the 21-year-old actress Iznasha amid the film crew of her feature film project about her development into a successful and attractive presenter. The protagonists in her dream are her father, as the film director, Tekushin and her mother, as the leading actress, Chayka. Surprisingly, in the film she has possibly lost these parents - her father, following his longing for death, and, suppressed by her, her mother, potentially through drowning. The characters in this picturesque feature film can be seen as facets of Iznasha herself, as well as modern figures with roots in mythical ancient history. Three Angels are accompanied to earth by the Archangel Gabriel to make up for experiences that Iznasha’s mother sensually omitted in her life: ‘Morbid Optimism’, ‘Swindled Airs’ and ‘Lustful Sins’. As children who died too young they are sent back to earth to learn the richness of human experience to be better angels after all, earning their wings. The character of the enigmatic and mute Caméra embodies Iznasha's views and coaches her initially cyphered inconspicuousness towards leadership. At a strange crew party followed by a hell ride, the departments of the film production plunge themselves into a ritual, which awakens the powers to guarantee the success of the film production. The clown Skuchenko comes from the beyond to pick up Tekushin in his mystical longing for death and accompanies him wisely and humorously to the striking beauty of actual life. The three sages of the production management, Voya, Rubiyev and the medium Bledyayev, gradually take over the management of the project during the film and, guided by Chayka, finally bring it successfully to the press conference of its premiere. As the mythological driving force beneath the story, the male Minotaur from Knossos experiences the resurrection of his white female counterpart – the Minotaura. She integrates the current development towards gender equality as a mysterious adventure. Iznasha can be anyone. Anyone can be Iznasha. A detailed Four Pager of the script is available at any time. |
